FL Ritva Hartama-Heinonen väittelee perjantaina 5.9.2008 kello 12 Helsingin yliopiston humanistisessa tiedekunnassa käännöstieteen alaan kuuluvasta aiheesta "Abductive translation studies - The art of marshalling signs" (Abduktiivinen kääntäminen ja abduktiivinen käännöstutkimus merkkien käsittelyn taitona). Väitöstilaisuus järjestetään osoitteessa Päärakennus, Auditorium XII, Fabianinkatu 33.
Vastaväittäjänä on professori Irma Sorvali, Oulun yliopisto, kustoksena on professori Hanna Lehti-Eklund ja tiedekunnan edustajana professori Eero Tarasti.

The Master’s Degree Programme in Semiotics is a new graduate programme hosted by the Institute for Art Research at the Faculty of Arts. Participating partners at the University of Helsinki are the Department of Sociology, the Department of Slavonic and Baltic Languages and Literatures,and the Christina Institute for Women’s Studies. Close co-operation through exchange agreements is carried out with nine European universities and research institutes. The programme begins in the autumn 2009.
